For my wedding, I really loved the idea of an alternative guest book, and so, I woke up my inner crafty spice and got to work!
I decided to make little cards that I could just throw into a box and one day, if I ever get around to making my wedding scrapbook, I will use these as little tags that I can insert in different places throughout my scrapbook.
I cut rounded-edge squares, and then used an ink pad to distress the edges. Using the same color that I dry-painted my card box with, I painted one side of the cards with that and then cut some nautical shapes from my circuit to embellish it.
I hole punched each and every card!! Now THAT was fun–not! ;-) Some of them had just a simple hemp string, others had a tiny blue flower with a rhinestone, and another version had a cute little ‘love’ charm tied to it.
The box for these matched the card box that I made. It was basically made the same way–I dry-brushed the outside, added ribbon, and then put a piece of burlap on the inside.
I think people enjoyed writing little messages to us and we definitely enjoyed reading them!
